Hi, I'm Sophie, and I'm so glad you're here.

I'm a registered IFS therapist, specialising in working with women who feel deeply, think constantly, and who have often spent years in and out of therapy trying to understand and ‘fix’ themselves.

The women I work with describe me as gentle, kind, and warm, which makes me smile. I think my own deep sensitivity helps to create a space that feels genuinely safe, where you can feel understood, validated, and seen on a deeper level.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me curled up with my cat and a cup of tea, lost in a good book, or writing. And despite living in the midlands for most of my life, I feel most at home when I'm by the sea.

My approach is warm, holistic, and completely tailored to you. I work primarily through IFS (Internal Family Systems) which means rather than just talking about your patterns, we get to know the parts of you that are holding them. The inner critic. The perfectionist. The good girl who learned to stay small, quiet, and always be nice.

Alongside IFS, we can explore creative tools like art, journaling, and sandtray. This can be helpful when it’s hard to find the words, or when words don’t seem enough. I also work somatically, which means paying attention to what's happening in your body, not just your mind. For many of the women I work with, this mind-body connection can be the missing piece in their healing.

In our sessions, you'll have the chance to slow down and actually be seen- not just the capable, holding-it-all-together version of you, but all of you. The parts that are tired, the parts that are angry, the parts that have been working so hard for so long. There's no performing here, no getting it right. You can bring snacks, stim, fidget, move around, go quiet, or go off on tangents- it's all welcome.

My Approach

Why I Do this Work

I know how exhausting it is to be someone who feels everything so deeply, and how hard it can be to try to navigate a world that isn’t built for the way your mind and heart work.

I've had some wonderful experiences with different types of therapy over the years, but the biggest shifts came when I discovered IFS. It's what helped me to actually feel things rather than just understand them, and has led to the most profound healing.

Understanding and accepting my sensitivity and neurodivergence has also been such an important piece of the puzzle. I know the importance of therapy that is truly neuro-affirming, and the difference it can make after a lifetime of feeling 'wrong'.

Finally, I do this work because I love it. Those moments when something finally clicks, when someone who has spent years at war with themselves feels some peace, when someone drops their mask and allows themselves to actually relax. The moments when healing stops being an abstract idea and starts being something actually felt and lived.

These moments are why I do this work. And why I believe, wholeheartedly, that it's possible for you too.
